Rainmaker is Dead... Long live the Rainmaker!
FE History
On January 4th, 2397, the Borg attacked Alpha Centauri with a force of eight vessels. The close proximity of Alpha Centauri to the Sol System prompted Starfleet Command to send what remained of the Fourth Fleet to defend the system. Though the defense was ultimately successful, almost all the Starfleet vessels were destroyed.

January 2, 2397... USS Rainmaker
Captain’s Log... After three days of tracking him down we have apprehended the master criminal Dr. Llen Yesab and were bringing him in when we were ordered to Alpha Centauri, we have been sent to stop a Borg attack. The Rainmaker has participated in five of these battles before this, but mostly since we are an SCE ship we have been the second string, the ones that pick up the pieces giving aid and succor to the damaged. Pulling in the Second String players tells me that Starfleet is running desperately low of resources, with the Borg on Earth’s doorstep it almost seems they are right when they say “resistance is futile” it does not seem to mater how many have been killed they just keep advancing.

Captain’s Log... Since we did not resupply at a Starbase the Flag Ship has replenished our stores of Transphasic Torpedoes and other Borg killers. They did not take Dr. Yesab off our hands, the Admiral said his ship, or mine there would be no difference might as well leave him were he was. We are now in our battle formation and approaching the Borg, confidence is high that we will win this fight.

Captain’s Log, Stardate unknown, I am recording this on a tricorder since we are currently dead in space. Deck two was hit hard and started a chain reaction that ended with the destruction of the Bridge, most of us evacuated before it happened and we are now on the secondary bridge, we also have had the port-side nacelle blown off at the impulse engine. That caused the anti-mater reactor to destabilize and we had to eject it, we almost did not manage to do it in time, due to damages. The subsequent explosion was to near to us and we sustained more damage. There was some kind of weapons backwash we were thrown into and wrenched still further. Since Main and Impulse drives were off line, shields were down, the shield generators have all been destroyed, and our weapon status was at a low, I have ordered the ship shut completely down. We have life-support on absolute minimum scrubbers and the only lighting is from chemical flares. Maybe playing dead will cause them to ignore us and when this is done we can try to limp home. I hope we have a home to limp to, the last I saw, we had destroyed two of the eight cubes, but at a cost I don’t think we can bear... I was just informed that our O2 levels are at 19% and I have no choice but to reactivate the ship.

Captain’s Log... We are not in Kansas anymore Toto. The weapon backwash we were caught in must have been a subspace event weapon since we are not near Alpha Centauri, since our main computer had been shut down completely it is not totally up to speed yet we are not sure where we are. Decks one, two, and six are destroyed, others are heavily damaged. Our main power is gone, auxiliary power is at 50% and emergence power is at 63%. We have debris around us that obviously was sent with us, including the aft half of a Wildcat Class ship, both warp neccels have been damaged but maybe the warp core is intact, and if we can get that... with both main and impulse off line we are closing with it on maneuvering thrusters alone. We have no transporters at this time and the only shuttle that will fly again will take two more hours to repair.... Astrometrics have just informed me that we are near Bajor. Our engineers have also reported that we have no sub-space radio, nor will we anytime soon, we have one torpedo tube functional, front port, and five torpedoes left, three Photon and two Quantum. One phaser strip is also still intact and functional, also port, topside. Our casualty count has came in... out of 205 Officers, Crew, and Marines there is seventy one still alive, and of that twenty-eight are not expected to last the next twenty-four hours. With Deck six destroyed we have no sickbay, almost all our medical supplies are gone, and we have no energy to replicate more. Also, our replicater material tanks have been vented and we have lost most of our stores.

January 5, 2397 - VFA 106 - Gladiators
I do not know what has happened to the rest of the Gladiators. This is unacceptable. I do not know how the balance of the Battle of Alpha Centauri is going. This is, likewise, unacceptable. My Valkyrie is operating on minimal power, though life support can hold out still for several more weeks and I've more than enough C-Rations in here with me to last until I am picked up. I seem to have been swept up into some sort of a sub-space field which, subsequently, has fried most of my fighter's systems. I seem to be floating in a large debris field, though my fighter's navigational systems are off-line so I know not where I am. There appears to be a mostly intact Intrepid-class vessel around ten miles off, beyond that the back half of a Wildcat-class ship. I do not believe I shall be waiting too long to be rescued.

He looked into the mirror just looking at him self, he was fine just a few scrachs nothing much he was luckly. He looked back down back into the sink then back him self again.
Then with a rowr he throw his fist into the mirror smashing the glass and cutting his hand on the glass he didn't care. He had been luckly he left his quatures and went up to where sick bay had been moved to he looked round the room to see many people some dead he looked around the room and saw a young woman only 22 sitting by a bed with an older lady in her 40s.
"How is she doing" He said
"No change" she repleyed with out looking but at him. She had been in a coma since they had found her. He had other places to be there was a lot of work to be done but all he wanted to be was there with her. He looked up at the young girl again.
"Don't worry Lucy Mum will be fine" he said kissing her on the forehand and holding Sarah's hand. He tried to stop him self from crying but one tear escaped his eye.

Oh god, oh god, Officer Grady dead, I can't believe he's dead. I can't believe that I'm alive! First I was at Alpha Centauri, talking to Grady about my work, and then, oh god, he's dead... The Borg, they were everywhere, and then darkness. Now I have no power, Grady's dead, but he's...he's staring at me, with those hollow eyes...and he's starting to smell. Oh god, I'm so going to be violated when we get back, Grady's dead. It wasn't my fault!
There's a ship less than a light hour away from me. I might try to limp to it, ask for help. See if they can't give it. But I can't tell them about Grady, or at least who I am, they'd stick me in the brig and I'd never see the light of day again. It wasn't my fault he died, he just died, but they'll blame me, officers always blame me. Maybe I won't tell them who I am. Yes, that's it, I won't tell them who I am, I'll...Sergei...Sergei...Pablovinski. YES!
